September 17 meeting highlights

This week's Go Givers meeting was full of great stories, practical wisdom, and some genuinely eye-opening takeaways!

This week's Spotlight featured Justin Terbeest (left in photo above) of Terbeest Law, who took us on a fascinating journey from law school, to the art of craft beer making, to owning two breweries, and ultimately finding his way back to his legal roots.

Bjorn Nesvold of Beacon Pointe Advisors (left in photo on right above) took home the trophy for best commercial this week with a timely and valuable reminder about best strategies for leveraging old insurance policies - a fantastic tip to share with family and friends! The trophy was presented by Jeff Slagle of Preferred Insurance Services, winner from last week (right in photo on right above).

Bjorn also led our education segment this week, drawing from the book What Got You Here Won't Get You There by Marshall Goldsmith. We learned that the personality traits that drive your business to a certain point can eventually become the very things that limit your growth. To truly evolve and scale your business, you need to surround yourself with people who bring different personalities and strengths to the table.

Chad Goehring of Renew Hope added a great perspective to this, saying that real growth also requires a trusted inner circle of advisors who aren't afraid to disagree with you, and true business growth happens when you stop looking for echoes and start looking for perspective.

It was a very valuable and insightful meeting.
